After assisting Mike with the launch of Fast & Fit Coaching, Angie left an 11-year career in Tax Consulting in October 2011 to work full-time with Fast & Fit as Assistant Coach & Business Manager. She is a Certified Personal Trainer, USA Triathlon Level I Coach, and USA Track & Field Level I Coach. In 2012, she completed a 7-month mentorship program with Bob Seebohar, a USA Triathlon Level III Elite Coach and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. Angie is currently working toward her Precision Nutrition Certification.
Because Angie attributes much of her own foundation as a runner to her high school cross country and track coach, she is also passionate about working with youth. In Fall 2012, she began truly living this passion when she became the Assistant Coach for the boys and girls cross country team at Latin School of Chicago. She took on an even bigger role in the Spring as a Head Track & Field Coach. In her short time at Latin, Angie has been part of some very successful teams with 10 girls and 3 boys qualifying for State track in May 2013, and both boys and girls cross country teams qualifying for State in both 2012 and 2013. The biggest highlight came at the State Cross Country Meet in November 2013 where the girls team placed 3rd overall in their class. Angie continues to increase her presence and role within the Athletic Department at Latin. In December 2013, she accepted the position of Fitness Center Supervisor.
Always striving to live the life she preaches, Angie trains alongside her athletes whenever she can. In 2011, Angie qualified to run both the Boston Marathon and New York City Marathon in 2012. Injury has prevented her from making the starting line at Boston, and Hurricane Sandy put her goal of completing the New York City Marathon on hold for now. Since then, Angie has enjoyed running shorter distances & plans to stick to ½ marathon and shorter for the next few years while she can still run FAST! J
Angie is an avid home cook & definite foodie, always looking forward to checking out new spots on the dining scene. Her creativity in the kitchen, whether cooking up a healthy dinner for Mike or helping Fast & Fit athletes with their nutrition, comes as a combination of these “foodie” dining experiences, her love of food, growing up with an expansive garden, and her passion for healthy eating. Thankfully, Mike loves photographing her meals for sharing on social media!
